Minnie is a 12 month old Landseer Newfoundland who was originally purchased at Petland. From what I was told, the husband ended up abusing Minnie; the wife left him and took Minnie but could no longer keep her. She was given to another couple who had her for several months. This couple was wonderful and worked with Minnie to help gain her trust back in men. Unfortunately, they realized that they could not keep her because they have an older dog and 5 cats; Minnie was just too playful for them. Minnie does have some sensitivity to certain foods so she is currently on Royal Canin gastrointestinal dry food. She weighs 95 lbs. and is super strong for her size. Because she can spook easily, she requires an above-ground fenced yard for her protection. She really is a sweetheart and just loves playing with the other younger dogs here.
Soon after her arrival, Minnie was adopted by a wonderful family from Bethel Park. She will join Geno, who is a Cane Corso this family adopted from us 3 years ago. Minnie and Geno hit it off right away and began running around the yard playing like they had always been together. She will be missed, but we know she’ll love her new home!
